Above and beyond HHAs will be made available to clients who are looking to bridge the gap to independent living, those who need medical care and close monitoring in-between doctor’s visits, the elderly and individuals with disabilities who also require assistance with activities of daily living. Our HHAs have been trained to oversee the healthcare needs of patients and ensure they abide by the care plan, nursing and doctors’ orders. Some of the responsibilities of our HHAs include;

• Provide medication reminders and pick up prescriptions from pharmacy
• Taking vital signs and documenting them
• Prepare meals for the client
• Accompany client to their medical appointments, shopping and run errands for them
• Assist the client with range of motion exercises
• Provide assistance with ADLs such as; bathing, grooming, personal hygiene, transfers, ambulation and dressing
• Assist clients with light housekeeping and laundry
• Record client’s input and output
• Empty Foley catheters
• Check blood sugars and report findings
